on my way out to see a friend's show, i caught a glimpse of truly old school new york winter uniform. brand new timberlands and fresh sweats right from the gift box you got on christmas + puffy winter coat. don't get me wrong i think i've always been jealous of timberlands and uggs and sweatpants, i just thought i would look like a poser in them, i mean as long as it's between christmas and new years, also known as Holiday Taint, where no work is getting done, you're safe! just take everything new out of the box and put it all on (props if it has somesort of assvertisement in oversized varsity), and get cozy with your bf in his hand hemmed blue jeans. hold hands like you're a teenager and ride the trains till you sober up enough to slip back into your childhood home, kick off those timbos, and change your facebook status to your new years resolution: reconnect with old girlfriends and have my own sex and the city 2.0

p.s. hoping to have an interview with said friend, who had said show, via email, about what they wore and why, up in a bit, i guess first i need to ask the question! hope you are all keeping warm on this snowie day.
