walking in a winter wonderland - L train 1st Ave

on my way out to see a friend's show, i caught a glimpse of truly old school new york winter uniform. brand new timberlands and fresh sweats right from the gift box you got on christmas + puffy winter coat. don't get me wrong i think i've always been jealous of timberlands and uggs and sweatpants, i just thought i would look like a poser in them, i mean as long as it's between christmas and new years, also known as Holiday Taint, where no work is getting done, you're safe! just take everything new out of the box and put it all on (props if it has somesort of assvertisement in oversized varsity), and get cozy with your bf in his hand hemmed blue jeans. hold hands like you're a teenager and ride the trains till you sober up enough to slip back into your childhood home, kick off those timbos, and change your facebook status to your new years resolution: reconnect with old girlfriends and have my own sex and the city 2.0

Dear Ladies, Let's break it down. It is New Years Eve and you are single and you want to get kissed, as you get dressed in your Rainbow Shoppe fine-ary you try to vamp it up with baubles and beads. You break out your best empire waist dress, in this case a seemingly slimming but actually pouchrific number in puke pink and black, you accessorize with your best mardi gras beads, and you are f'ing pyched that your puffy coat from middle school matches perfectly. Wait, what! Your BFF is also on the scene in houndstooth and a sparkle color wheel hat. Suspiciously her purse (a hanging sac of pleather) is also in that curious shade of pink, and yours in murdery skin grey (also a hanging sac of pleather) looks like it came from her closet. You totally love eachother, and this night is going to be about showing the boys just what queens you are. The subway station flourecents illuminated your excitement and we just had to catch your Romey n Michelle / Kath n Kim tiara times! Good luck on your quest. so waywaw.com, is a place to post videos, pictures and stories of waywaw(ed?) people. waywaw stands for what are you wearing and why.

you could call someone waywaw, meaning their fashion is out of control! i knew you've been looking for that word, the last time you saw that grace jones look alike in times square, or that man in the lower east side that only wears white while roaming the filthy streets, or just about anyone in williamsburg... waywaw!
